Projected Game 1 lineups

Phillies

SS Jimmy Rollins: 4-for-6 in 9th innings; 5-for-31 in innings 1-8.
CF Shane Victorino: Leads Philly with .361 AVG in postseason.
2B Chase Utley: Hitting .303, but only 1 extra-base hit, 2 RBIs.
1B Ryan Howard: Hitting .355 with 14 RBIs in 9 games.
RF Jayson Werth: Tied with A-Rod for most HRs (5), runs (10) in postseason.
DH Raul Ibanez: Hitting .226, but averaging an RBI a game.
LF Ben Francisco: 0-for-4 in postseason; starting for defense.
3B Pedro Feliz: Only Philly regular really struggling (.161 AVG).
C Carlos Ruiz: Mr. October? Hitting .346 with 7 walks.
SP Cliff Lee: 0.74 ERA, no HRS allowed in 3 starts.

Yankees


SS Derek Jeter: 3 HRs are second on club in postseason.
LF Johnny Damon: 1-for-12 in ALDS; reached base every ALCS game.
1B Mark Teixeira: Started ALCS 2-for-19 before heating up.
3B Alex Rodriguez: .548 OBP, 1.517 OPS in playoffs.
C Jorge Posada: 4-for-20 with 5 walks in ALCS.
DH Hideki Matsui: .233 BA but has .395 OBP in playoffs.
2B Robinson Cano: 2 of 8 postseason hits have been triples.
RF Nick Swisher: 4-for-32 with 11 K's in postseason.
CF Melky Cabrera: .314 BA second to A-Rod among regulars.
SP CC Sabathia: One ER allowed in each of 3 starts.

 

Just something I can across and thought it was a nice breakdoen of each player and how they performing in the playoffs!!!! Any thoughts ....  gonna be a great WS to watch finally ....  PHILS IN 6 ... GO PHILLIES!!!!!

Phils n Yanks game 1 lineups

Not a Yank or Philly fan, but I think that the Phillies will take it in 5, especially if they can keep up the outstanding pitching.  Cliff Lee has been awesome tonight and far surpassed my expectations.
